Scholars in Arts and Sciences
At Irvine Art & Music, we believe young minds grow fastest when art and science work together. Scholars in Arts and Sciences is our signature program for students in grades 8–11 that fuses studio creativity, live experiments, and publishable project work to build confident, college-ready leaders.
This is what makes us different than any other music school – while other schools focus solely on music, we prepare students to think critically, innovate, and lead by combining the discipline of music with the curiosity of science.

Selective Enrollment Process:
This is a very selective program. Not all applicants will be accepted. Students must complete an interview to determine eligibility.

How It Works
- Enroll at IAM ➡️ Choose your Music Lesson plan (30/45/60 minutes) and receive a special discounted rate for the Scholars in Arts and Sciences program – or join as a non-music participant.
- Join Scholars in Arts and Sciences ➡️ Frequent labs blend creativity with real experiments.
- Publish & Present ➡️ Build a portfolio of artworks, lab notes, and presentations – and publish your work in scientific journals.
- Lead & Mentor ➡️ Advanced students can lead projects and mentor peers.
- Nonprofit Leadership ➡️ Selected students may advance to leadership roles in our nonprofit, gaining real-world experience.
