Serving Lake Forest from our Irvine showroom
Musical Instrument Retail, Rentals, Repairs & Music Lessons Near Lake Forest, CA
Lake Forest has no shortage of places to buy a guitar. What’s harder to find is a family-owned music store near Lake Forest where the person helping you actually knows the instrument. At Irvine Art and Music Center, the same team sells the instruments, sets up school band and orchestra rentals, handles repairs in-house, and teaches private music lessons, so your kid’s cello, your acoustic with the high action, and next month’s lessons all end up in good hands.
We’re about 20 to 30 minutes from most Lake Forest neighborhoods, just off the 5. Come in for a guitar store with real selection, an instrument rental before the first rehearsal, a repair that doesn’t drag on for weeks, or a music teacher who matches your goals. Whatever brings you in, you’ll get honest advice from people who actually play.
Serving Lake Forest’s Band & Orchestra Families
Until 1991, this town was El Toro, and the name still shows up where it matters most to music families. El Toro High School’s Royal Blue Regiment is an award-winning competitive marching band, and the same program runs a wind ensemble, an orchestra, a jazz band, and a drumline. That adds up to a lot of students, a lot of instruments, and a lot of parents trying to figure out what to rent, what to buy, and what needs fixing before the next competition.
We work with families across Saddleback Valley Unified, from Portola Hills to the neighborhoods along El Toro Road, plus Foothill Ranch families whose kids play at Trabuco Hills. Tell us the school and the ensemble, and we’ll help you set up the right school band or orchestra rental, or get a worn instrument repaired, before the season gets busy.

A Complete Music Store Near Lake Forest
Walk in and you’ll find the full range: acoustic and digital pianos, violins, violas, and cellos, band instruments like flutes, clarinets, saxophones, and trumpets, drums, and a wall of acoustic and electric guitars from Taylor, Martin, Fender, Ibanez, and PRS. Add the everyday essentials like strings, reeds, and cases, and you’ve got everything a student or working musician needs in one visit.
It’s a full musical instrument store near Lake Forest that doesn’t feel like a warehouse. Pick up a guitar, sit down at a piano, or compare two student violins side by side, and ask why one costs more than the other. You’ll get a real answer instead of a sales pitch. Whether you’ve been searching for a guitar store, a piano store that lets you play before you pay, or a place to buy musical instruments for a student starting band this fall, we’ll help you narrow it down and stay within your budget.

Rentals
School Band & Orchestra Instrument Rentals Near Lake Forest, CA
Marching season, concert season, spring auditions. School music in Lake Forest runs on a calendar, and your student’s instrument needs to be ready before the first rehearsal, not after it. Our instrument rentals for school band and orchestra cover violin, viola, cello, upright bass, flute, clarinet, saxophone, and trumpet, so whatever the director assigns, you can get it here.
Setting up a band instrument rental takes one visit. Bring your student in, we fit the instrument, and it goes home ready to play. With orchestra rentals, fit matters even more, especially for younger string players, so we take the time to get the size right. And if a pad sticks or a string snaps mid-season, bring it straight to our repair bench instead of waiting on a shipment.

Lessons
Music Lessons Near Lake Forest
Looking for a music teacher near Lake Forest? Start by telling us what you want out of it. One student is aiming for a seat in the El Toro wind ensemble. Another just wants to play songs with friends. Both are great reasons, and they call for different teachers, so we talk through goals before pairing anyone with an instructor for private, in-person lessons.
Parents searching for music lessons for kids near Lake Forest often start with piano or ukulele, since both build good habits early. Adults who want to learn guitar can start wherever they are, even if it’s been twenty years since they last picked one up. And if you’ve been looking for a cello teacher or a piano school that takes technique seriously, you’ll find both here.
Private, in-person lessons
- Piano lessons, from a child’s first recital piece to advanced technique
- Guitar lessons, acoustic and electric
- Violin and cello lessons for orchestra students and adult beginners
- Drum lessons, a natural fit for drumline hopefuls
- Voice lessons and ukulele lessons
