At Irvine Art & Music, we’ve always believed that creativity goes beyond playing notes on a page. Music teaches discipline, expression, and focus — but when combined with science, it opens an entirely new world of possibility. That’s why we’re proud to introduce Scholars in Arts and Sciences, a groundbreaking program available exclusively at Irvine Art & Music.
This one-of-a-kind program is designed for students in grades 7–11 who are ready to push beyond traditional learning and step into a space where studio creativity meets real-world science.
Why This Program Is Different
Unlike any other music school, Irvine Art & Music is blending the arts with scientific discovery. Students won’t just learn — they’ll innovate, experiment, and lead, developing skills that prepare them for success in both college and life.
Participants will:
-
Create science-inspired art – Imagine designing a canvas that changes color in real time through chemical reactions.
-
Build research and presentation skills – Frame questions, run tests, analyze results, and present findings with confidence.
-
Showcase at events – From live demonstrations to formal presentations, students strengthen stage presence and teamwork.
-
Gain leadership experience – Take on roles that help mentor peers, or even step into nonprofit leadership opportunities.
Who It’s For
The Scholars in Arts and Sciences program is open to:
-
Students entering grades 7–11 who love experimenting, creating, and presenting their work.
-
IAM music students who want to expand their creative journey by adding science into the mix.
-
College-bound students who want meaningful portfolio projects, published work, and leadership experiences to set them apart.
A Selective Experience
Because of the depth of this program, not all students will be eligible. Enrollment is selective and based on an interview process. We’re looking for enthusiastic, curious, and committed students who are ready to contribute to a collaborative environment.
