Debra Innis is an accomplished music teacher with a rich background in both education and performance. She began her teaching career at two music studios before the COVID-19 pandemic and made a notable return to teaching at the Irvine Art and Music studio in September 2021. Over the years, Debra has been instrumental in preparing numerous students for their recitals.

Her academic journey in music started with a major in music from Trinity College, followed by a minor in music from the University of Illinois. With over 35 years of teaching experience, Debra has honed her skills to teach students from beginners to upper intermediate levels. She is particularly noted for her expertise in Music Theory and her ability to perform in orchestras and small groups, primarily with the violin.

Debra also performs for private events and enjoys tailoring music to fit the unique needs of each student. While her main passion lies in classical music, she has a broad appreciation for many genres.

Effy Huang

Effy Huang

Effy Huang is an Irvine native who embodies the spirit of her hometown. A product of the Irvine Unified School District from K-12, Effy continued her academic journey at UC Irvine, earning multiple degrees in music, web design & development, and literature. Though she initially pursued a career in the tech industry, she ultimately returned to her first passion: music.

Effy has served as an adjunct cello instructor at St. Margaret’s in San Juan Capistrano and as Assistant Music Director at the Waldorf School in Costa Mesa. Currently, she is the Co-Principal Cellist of the Orchestra Collective of Orange County and performs with both the “For Four” String Quartet and the OCofOC Cello Quartet.

In 2023, she earned the Gold Prize at the VanBach International Music Competition and continues to pursue chamber music performance and teaching.

Ann Ng

Ann Ng is a Los Angeles and Orange County-based piano instructor, keyboardist, arranger, producer, and music copyist. Originally from Malaysia, Ann began her musical journey at age six, completing her ABRSM certification in high school. She studied at Berklee College of Music, earning a degree in Contemporary Writing & Production, and later completed a Master’s in Church Music.

Over the past 20 years, Ann has contributed to major TV productions like Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, and the Emmy Awards, working with artists such as Natalie Cole, Vanessa Carlton, The Pussycat Dolls, The Black Eyed Peas, and Michael Bublé. She has arranged and produced music for ministries in LA, Taiwan, and China.

Ann performs across styles (jazz, worship, contemporary) and focuses on building musicianship and confidence. She is a member of MTAC and NFMC and enjoys helping students of all ages develop a true love for music.

Felicia Chen

Felicia Chen is a dynamic and versatile musician whose talents span across guitar, piano, and traditional Chinese instruments. Born and raised in Taiwan, Felicia brings a rich cultural perspective to her music and teaching, fluently speaking English, Mandarin, and Taiwanese. Felicia's musical journey began at age four with classical piano training.

Her dedication led to impeccable pitch and a strong theory foundation, earning her the Level 5 Piano Teaching Certificate from Yamaha. Felicia is also proud to be the first Taiwanese female graduate of the Guitar Institute of Technology (GIT) at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California.

Before pursuing her musical dreams in the U.S., she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration. Felicia inspires students with a supportive teaching style and deep musicianship—beginner through advanced.

Cassandra Chow

Cassandra Chow is a pianist, vocalist, and composer who offers private lessons in piano, voice, music theory, and composition. She earned her B.A. in Music Composition from UC Santa Barbara and pursued graduate studies at California Baptist University in advanced composition, musicology, piano pedagogy, choir, piano, and voice.

Cassandra designs personalized lessons that blend technique, theory, and expression to build confidence and musicianship. She has sung the national anthem at major events and has served on her church’s worship team for over a decade as a pianist and vocalist.

She is proficient in Sibelius, Dorico, Logic Pro, GarageBand, and Audacity, and loves helping students discover their unique musical voice.
