Mauro Tarakdian

Mauro Tarakdian, hailing from Brazil, now makes his home in Los Angeles, California, where he continues to leave a significant mark on the world of music as both a drummer and educator. His journey with drums began in his Brazilian childhood, setting the stage for a career that would see him performing and recording with a diverse array of bands and artists.

Beyond his contributions as a performer, Mauro has made a profound impact as an educator and advocate for the drumming community. He founded NGBP, a pivotal resource that has offered drumming education to hundreds of drummers and percussionists for over three years, fostering a vibrant community of musicians. His leadership and vision were further recognized during his tenure as Editor-in-Chief of Modern Drummer Brazil magazine in 2007, where he shaped the narrative around drumming culture in Brazil.
